Little Britain Challenge Cup 2005
8-11 September

The Little Britain Challenge Cup (LBCC) is the largest industry sailing regatta in Europe and is open to any company from the construction industry. Each year the LBCC raises over £100,000 for charity and always proves to be one of the most enjoyable and competitive regattas in the sailing calendar.

The LBCC is centred around Cowes Yacht Haven with marquees being erected for all the evening entertainment.

LBCC 2005

You can enter in either a cruising class with no spinnaker, or a racing class for the more experienced crews. The LBCC is one of the most popular events on the south coast and is nearly always over subscribed just weeks after entries are released, so be sure to book up early.

1st Charters will ensure that your event is a great success. We will do all the organising once you have made your LBCC entry which unfortunately has to be done directly by the entrant. There are various yachts available depending on if you want to cruise or race competitively; in addition we can organise RIB support for taxiing your guests to and fro.

Packages vary depending on yacht and full requirements. The prices start from approximately £395 per person.

The package will typically include:

  • Charter of yacht from Thurs evening 8th Sept – Sun noon 11th Sept

  • Professional Crew

  • Mooring first evening in home port

  • Fuel

  • Accommodation onboard each evening

  • Mooring in Cowes is included in the LBCC entrance fee

On contacting 1st Charters, we will discuss your catering needs to ensure they are met. Most of the evening entertainment is organised by LBCC; but we can help organise other things if necessary.

Please note that you may wish to have onshore accommodation, so please inform us well in advance so we can ensure availability as this is booked very quickly. Also see Event Extras.
