Lutine Lineslip Regatta
8th & 9th June 2005
In June 2005, teams from the insurance industry will come together for the 5th staging of the Lutine Lineslip Regatta. More than twenty teams are expected to participate in the regatta. Companies involved in the insurance industry, be they insurers, brokers, re-insurers or professional advisers, will find participation in the Lutine Lineslip Regatta a valuable way to raise their company profile, network within the industry and entertain clients, potential clients and employees. The Lutine Lineslip Regatta has been established since 1999 and is the most prestigious sailing and social event for the insurance community. The Lutine Lineslip Regatta is a Lloyds Yacht Club Event for the Insurance Industry. 2005 will see the second staging of the event under the new alliance between the Lloyd's Yacht Club and Britannia Corporate Events. Britannia is one of 1st Charters preferred partners and further to their success of running regattas is why we use them.
Post Magazine, the leading insurance magazine, is the Lutine Lineslip's official media partner and will be ensuring a high media profile for both the event and competitors. The regatta is open to crews chartering a yacht and also to companies and individuals with their own yacht, who wish to participate as a private entry. Itinerary for Event: Wednesday 8th June 08.00 Lutine Lineslip Regatta desk opens in the Britannia offices, Port Hamble Marina and introduction to skippers. 09.00 Skippers' briefing, Port Hamble Marina 09.30 Practice session begins. 12.00 Race one starts, under instruction from the race committee. 13.30 Racing lunch onboard boats. 14.00 Race two starts, under instruction from the race committee. 16.00 Race three starts, under instruction from the race committee. 17.30 Day one racing finishes. 17.45 Yachts moor in Cowes Yacht Haven in preparation for the evening party being held in the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club. Full shower and changing facilities are available for crew members in the Yacht Haven. 19.00 Royal Corinthian Yacht Club opens for pre-dinner Pimm’s drinks reception. 20.00 Lutine Lineslip Regatta dinner is served. 01.00 Carriages. Thursday 9th June 08.00 Breakfast & Lutine Lineslip Regatta desk opens. 09.00 Skippers' briefing. 10.00 Race four starts, under instruction from the race committee. 12.00 Lunch onboard yachts. 12.30 Race five starts, under instruction from the race committee. 14.30 All yachts return to Port Hamble Marina for prize giving. 15.00 Prize giving in the Royal Southern Yacht Club, Hamble. 15.30 Lutine Lineslip Regatta finishes and teams depart at leisure. Entry Costs: Charter entry costs for the Lutine Lineslip Regatta start from just £349 per person. This includes: Ø        Charter of yacht Ø        Sail training and teambuilding with professional skipper Ø        Racing lunches on both days Ø        Pimms reception in Royal Corinthian Yacht Club Ø        3 course regatta dinner, with wine and post dinner entertainment Ø        Accommodation onboard yachts Ø        Breakfast on morning of day two Ø        Full race programme, with five competitive races run by professional race officer Ø        Prize giving in Royal Southern Yacht Club, with afternoon tea Please note the final price will be dependant on yacht and exact package.
