161st Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta
24-28 August 2005

Passage Race & Dartmouth Royal Regatta:
This is an annual event that has grown in popularity each year.

The Regatta itself hosts a variety of activities throughout the week - rowing, treasure hunts, 2 fireworks displays, road races, and tug of war - just to name a few.

The Regatta Sailing Events start with the Passage Race from Brixham to Dartmouth on Wednesday 24 August. This is followed by 4 days of racing in Start Bay for IRC, PY yachts, J80s, SPortboats and Keelboats.
 

Race Organisiation:
Races are organised under the Burgee of the Royal Dart and Dartmouth Yacht Clubs. Sailing headquarters are the Royal Dart Yacht Club on the opposite side of the river at Kingswear.

Racing take place mainly in Start Bay and attracts entries from all over the country. Over 200 vessels of different sizes compete in over 15 events, with 1000's spectators. The prize giving takes place on Sunday 28 August.

Yacht Charter:
If you have a group keen to participate in this event we can organise a yacht and skipper to meet your needs. We have selection of yachts available from more relaxed cruisers to the more performance yachts. The yachts can cater for a minimum of 4 plus skipper, upto a maximum of 7 plus skipper giving everyone accommodation onboard.

The package available can be tailored to meet your needs. The usual package includes:
