Sailing offers people enormous amount of fun and excitement, and you have a choice as to how involved you want to be onboard. For the more relaxed amongst you – charter a yacht with friends or join a sailing event, and the more adventurous can try a hand at yacht racing.

Ø Bespoke Events organised for you and your friends. Whatever the occasion speak to us and we can make it memorable. For instance, Hen/Stag Weekend, Birthday Weekend, Girls or Boys Away Weekend or no reason needed at all – just a Get Together. Prices start from £190 pp/weekend.
Ø Sailing Holiday, take the opportunity to join a yacht for 7 days sailing along the South Coast of England, stopping at lovely harbours to experience the life of a true sailor. Further information and prices on request.

The packages generally include the following:
w Professionally Endorsed Yachtmaster Skipper
w 1st Mate (if required)
w Charter of a berth or yacht
w All meals aboard whilst sailing
w Tea/Coffee and soft drinks onboard
w Moorings and fuel
w Waterproof clothing
w Full use of safety equipment
Personal Accident Insurance is not always included; if this is the case we advice you to purchase it.

Duration: |
|
Depending on how much time you have, the events usually last between 1-7 days and some of the more intensive programmes can take 3 weeks. See the Events Calendar for date details.

As 1st Charters works with a selection of preferred companies we can offer you opportunities in the Solent along the English South Coast, across the Channel to France and even as far a field as Australia for the Rolex Sydney-Hobart Race .
So wherever you would like to go, speak to 1st Charters and we will investigate all the options for you.

Key Participants: |

Sailing is open to everyone whatever your experience. You will meet people from all different backgrounds and nationalities. The big events are very international and people attend from all over; proving that to sail you do not have to live by water.
At the bigger events you will even be rubbing shoulders with the elite yachtsmen and women that compete internationally. There may even be chance to beat them on the water! |

Sailing is such a social sport on and off the water. It is an ideal way to spend time with your old and new friends. The sport is exciting, exhilarating and one sail is never the same as another.
Depending on the type of sailing you want to do it will also open the doors to many new places internationally.

There are different yachts used for each event. Click here see our Yachts & Power page for more information on a selection of yachts we use. Please bear in mind there are many more yachts available for charter so please contact us to discuss further.
All the yachts we use are insured and if necessary, coded for racing. 1st Charters can assure that the skippers we use are all RYA Yachtmasters with commercial endorsement, and they will give priority to the safety of you and your guests and the yacht.
