Skippered Yacht Charter

Skippered Charter for Anyone:
Have you considered chartering a yacht with friends for the weekend, or to participate in a scheduled event but none of you have the skipper qualifications?

Then why not charter a yacht with skipper and a mate, if need be? 1st Charters can offer you the opportunity to organise a specially tailored event to suit your needs, or the other option is to take part as an individual in one of our organised events – the world is your oyster.

To give you an idea of what is on offer then please see the table below, please note we can do any type of event you wish and ALL events open to all levels of experience:

Event Suggestion:	Details:	Approx Costs:
Hen/Stag Weekend	Fantastic & fun way to celebrate with a group of friends over a weekend. Sail or race through the day, evening meal ashore at venue of choice, sleep onboard and recovery sail home on Sunday.	Costs for a weekend start from £150 per person.
Birthday Celebration	Know someone who is keen to sail or try sailing, then surprise them with a day or two on the water.	A yacht for max 7 people with skipper from £1050 per weekend.
Sailing Experience	Never sailed before, but have a group of friends or colleagues that want to try, then contact us and we will organise an adventure weekend for you.	Costs for a weekend start from £150 per person.
Gourmet Sailing	Want to experience fun sailing with great food and wine, then talk to us about some days sailing along the south coast or across the channel. We offer eating onboard, as well as ashore.	Price on application.
Feel the need for speed!	Join one of our performance yachts in a key calendar event - racing or passages.	Depends on event.
Mile Builders	Looking to gain extra experience and miles, then talk to us about some exciting deliveries coming up: Malta-Las Palmas; UK-Las Palmas; cross Channel, UK-Ireland.	Depends on passage.
Holiday	Want to partake in a holiday sailing around the West Country, Channel Islands or elsewhere? We can propose some lovely places and provide a suitable skipper for you.	A 5 day week yacht charter with skipper starts from £1700.
Race Training	If you are keen to learn more about yacht racing then enquire about the courses that occur at various times of the year. Race starts, spinnaker training, tactics and more...	Weekends start from £195 per person
Scheduled Events	There are many exciting key yachting events to consider taking part in, with a few friends or on your own.	See Events Calendar for details
Caribbean Sailing	Fancy sailing in the blue waters of the Caribbean. We have opportunities for individuals and groups.	Contact us for options

Duration:
For your personally tailored event there is no limit to how many days your trip is; you may want the occasion to take place over a weekend, getting everyone to join the yacht on the Friday night, or take a longer holiday. The scheduled events usually last between 1-7 days, but there are the bigger races that take 3 weeks. See the Events Calendar for more date details.

Location:
As 1^st Charters works with a selection of preferred companies we can offer you opportunities in the Solent along the English South Coast, across the Channel to France and even as far a field as Australia for the Rolex Sydney-Hobart Race or to the Caribbean by the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC).

So wherever you would like to go, speak to 1^st Charters and we will investigate all the options for you.

Key Participants:
Sailing is open to everyone whatever your experience. You will meet people from all different backgrounds and nationalities. The big events are very international and people attend from all over the world. So join them and enjoy swapping the adventure stories in the beer tent or pub afterwards.

Yachts & Power:
All the yachts used for sailing & racing are insured and coded as required under Department of Transport (DoT) and Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) or the equivalent abroad. 1^st Charters can assure you that the skippers are all experienced RYA Yachtmasters with commercial endorsement, and they will give priority to the safety of crew and yacht at all times.
