Branding

Boat Branding:

Branding a yacht or motor boat can get you noticed. Be it for a corporate day or a group of friends racing together think about the various options. Graphic designers today can practically do anything … it is very impressive.

There are several different options for branding a yacht or motor cruiser, and it can be as extensive as you wish.

A true example of full yacht branding is the Hugo Boss yacht that is participated in the Vendee Globe 2004 with skipper Alex Thompson. The same branding was done on a previous 65ft for Cowes Week and the Rolex Fastnet in 2003.

However in-depth the yacht branding goes, you can ensure that it looks impressive and gets you noticed. Below are options that can be combined or be on their own:

Ø        Boat Hull

The hull of a boat has large surface areas that can be covered with temporary branding for any event. Basically there are 3 sectors on sail & motor boat hulls to be considered – bow, mid and stern.

Ø        Yacht Sails

How much more visibility could you get? Not only do you have the main and head sails, but also the spinnakers which are even bigger and can be made to order if you have a bit extra money to invest.

Ø        Yacht Boom

Every sailing yacht has a boom that is visible. This place is ideal for posting your website details eg www.1STCHARTERS.COM

Ø        Battle Flag & Banners

As boating is a very social event, there will usually be at least one night of entertainment in a marina, so you have the chance to fly personalised flags which can host you company logo, moto or even selection of things. Even once the racing is finished, flying the battle flag on your forestay as you head in to the marina is very impressive.

Do remember that branding a boat is not the only thing that gets seen – the whole crew do as well, so get the crewed kitted out in style.

“At the last company I worked for, we asked our customers how they had heard about us … the answer was the branded jackets all the employees wore at events they attended.” A Wilkens, Oxford

Crew Clothing & Kit:

Crews can be ‘kitted out’ in branded clothes on and off the boat, ensuring that each moment they get seen by the crowds they look the part. A group of 4 people wearing the same thing is noticeable enough, so imagine when you double that?

There is a typical selection of kit that crew use and all of which can be branded with logos and slogans to give an impressive sight:

Ø        Polo Shirts

Ø        Drill & Rugby Shirts

Ø        Baseball Caps

Ø        Shorts

Ø        Fleeces

Ø        Sailing Jackets

Ø        Full Wet Weather Gear

Ø        Crew Bags

All of the above come in different brands, hence the colour and designs vary; so there is definitely something of interest for you.

How to Organise:

Please contact 1st Charters to discuss the various options. We understand that yachts and people vary, so everything can be tailored to meet your needs. This includes when you have a mixed crew and you need female and male kit; there is no problem mixing your order.

We use suppliers that we have worked with in the past and hence we have a very good relationship with them regarding them meeting out requirements and deliveries.

Whatever the product we will try our best to organise it for you.  All the prices will be given on request. We look forward to making your crew and yacht look the best on and off the water.
