Do you have the urge to experience yacht racing for the first time or even advance into new levels of racing?   1st Charters can offer you opportunities for individual berths or whole yacht charters. The racing calendar grows every year and we are pleased to offer you opportunities at some of the main events. We work with preferred partners to ensure you get the choice and level of racing you desire.
Opportunities & Packages:
As there are several different levels of racing, you need to decide on the type of event you would like to participate in.    Yacht racing is as much for corporate teams, as for teams made up of individuals. Location:
The majority of the events take place in the Solent area and predominantly we start our events from the marinas between Southampton and Portsmouth, which is a part of the South Coast that is very easily accessible by car and train. This does not mean we cannot start at a marina of your choice if need be.   The exceptions are the RORC Series which will give you the opportunity to sail to France and the Channel Islands and if you join one of the race teams you will visit many new exciting places. Please note that you need to ensure you have a valid passport and visas where necessary, for any of the racing that does not take place in your home country.
Key Participants:
Yacht racing entices people from different backgrounds, be they individuals joining a new yacht or a team made up of employees and their customers. Being so international once you build those relationships you have broadened your yachting and racing possibilities even further.
There are more and more companies that use yacht racing as a customer relationship builder and a marketing opportunity so do not lose out to your competitors by not making you presence known.
Event Extras:
For some of the events you may want to consider some additions to your package. 1st Charters can organise any extras you desire and if you are a company hosting customers you may want to consider the following:   Ø        Private event dinner and other special catering requirements Ø        Use of a Rigid Inflatable Boat or Power boat for the day Ø        Onshore accommodation Ø        Crew Clothing Ø        Use of a photographer   Click Event Extras to further information. Yachts & Power:
For all of the events the yachts are chosen in relation to the performance desired. There are so many different racing and racer/cruiser models, so speak to 1st Charters about the best one for you. See our Yachts & Power page for further information on some yachts.   All the yachts we use for racing are insured and coded as required under Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA). 1st Charters can assure that the skippers we use are all RYA Yachtmasters with commercial endorsement, and they will give priority to the safety of crew and yacht at all times.
